June 2026 Missionary Update

The room was full of young missionaries carrying old wounds. Juan felt the Lord nudging him toward a hard but necessary topic: forgiveness. Drawing from 2 Corinthians 10:5, he showed them how God gives us the power to “take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ” — bitterness doesn’t get the final word. One by one, hearts began to soften. Many chose right there to forgive the people who had hurt them, and walked out lighter and free. See a short video reel of Juan’s teaching HERE. |

Over the last four months, we’ve organized four evangelistic concerts at a local coffee house — and through them, we’ve shared the gospel with over 400 people in our community. In this photo, Juan tells the story of the Prodigal Son, painting a picture of just how relentless and passionate the Father’s love is for His lost children. Mombo and I got to do something we love — teach leadership, together. Our workshop, Called To Lead Together, is part of the training we offer on our missions campus at YWAM Kona. But this time was extra special: three of the female missionaries whom we mentor joined us in presenting the training. Watching them step into their calling? That’s the whole point. We are excited to announce the debut of a new training series called Relationship Rehab on our podcast called Leaders With A Mission. These three new episodes tackle the important subject of how to overcome offense, make peace and practice healthy conflict resolution.
