This update shows what the Lord did during our missions work in England, Finland and Norway. In each location we met Youth With A Mission (YWAM) missionaries who were working diligently to reach their country and the world with the gospel through action and words.
YWAM Derby is located in an industrial city in England. Our son Connor was ministering with us there during his break from university. Missionaries in Derby are reaching out weekly using youth clubs and mercy ministry. The relationships they build in the community are leading to hearts that are open to Jesus.
We gave a workshop called Relationship Rehab with this missionary team. The teaching was on building unity, healthy team relationships and implementing biblical conflict resolution. It’s all about the hard work of getting along!
The director said, “They spent the first day teaching, with an engaging and truth-filled message, filled with humility and their own experience. They then gave themselves to individual sessions with each of our team, providing listening support and care. Our whole team felt loved and cared for by this amazing couple!”
One of our favorite ministries at this base was their weekly feeding program called Manna. Both Muslim immigrants and people struggling with homelessness came for the warm smiles and delicious food. Connor and Juan made a LOT of tasty mashed potatoes. They were a real hit!

YWAM Helsinki, in Finland hosted us to lead a workshop called Leadership Blind Spots for missionaries and other leaders. It turned out to be a timely teaching as regional leaders said that they were preparing to vote on denominational policies concerning sensitive issues we addressed that could affect the whole country.
Mombo (Tracy) was asked to be a keynote speaker at a women’s conference in Helsinki. Women from many churches came to receive something fresh from the Lord. Mombo gave a dynamic and inspiring message to activate the ladies into following their calling. The established church that hosted us had never held a women’s conference before. It seems that wherever we show up, God does spontaneous things that we never could have planned for!

While in Helsinki, we went out on the streets to serve with our friend Johanna who worked with us in NYC for 10 years. She returned to start her own outreach ministry to the poor called The Resting Place. The people on the streets love her!
As a line of needy people cued up to get delicious food, prayer and help, it brought back so many memories of serving on the streets of NYC. To see this almost identical work in another country was amazing!

YWAM Teoplis is in Tampere, Finland. This team gives national leadership to YWAM’s efforts throughout Finland. We were blessed to coach their lead team on strategic planning for a massive arena event they are planning called The Send. This historic event will send ripples throughout the country!

YWAM Rogaland in Norway is a VERY innovative missionary campus. They run a Discipleship Training School that even incorporates kite surfing! They are proving that you can use anything to make healthy disciples and reach the nations. Right after we trained the team, they left to minister in a closed, Muslim nation where they will be sending outreach teams regularly. These young missionaries are inspiring.

PLEASE PRAY NOW! 1. Pray for God’s favor and connections as we strategize to minister throughout South East Asia in 2024. 2. Pray for wisdom concerning where we should establish a home where we can rest and work when not traveling on mission. 3. Health for our new granddaughter due at Christmas and strength for our pregnant daughter to safely carry her to full-term.
