So many people were open and hungry for prayer. Leonard heard me sharing a modern day parable to explain the gospel from the microphone. As I said, “Come to Jesus”, he knew that God was speaking directly to him and immediately walked forward to respond. Leonard and I prayed together to repent of his sin and addiction to morphine as he gave his life to Jesus. We gave him a Bible in French and information on a local drug rehabilitation center.

A member of our team, Deji (center), was praying for Anthony on the right but was laying hands on both men. As he finished praying, the man on the left, Ahmad, said “It’s a miracle, I’m healed!” Deji was confused because he didn’t pray for healing. Ahmad explained that as Deji was praying, all of the pain from his knee injury miraculously disappeared. But that’s not all. See what happened as a result in the next photo below.

Both Anthony and Ahmad wanted to be baptised. On a team free day, they joined us at the beach and after publicly testifying of how they had put their faith in Jesus, Deji and I had the privilege of baptising them. Ahmad is originally from Afghanistan, a nation where Christianity is forbidden and converting from Islam could be punishable by death. His public declaration of faith through baptism was a special moment I will never forget.

First, I tried to talk to Amib (center) in French using Google Translate. That was frustratingly slow until my friend Israel (at right) helped translate. Amib is an immigrant from Algeria. I asked him if he needed prayer for healing. Amib said that he had a serious, painful issue with his leg. After I prayed, Amib was completely healed! I also prayed for him for deliverance from anxiety, which had plagued him for years.
After all of that, Amib committed his life to Christ and was ready to start going to church every week! We gave him a Bible in French and even became Instagram friends.
None of this could have happened without all of you who partner with us financially and in prayer. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for Amib and all the other people whose lives were touched during this outreach.
